VCCA has been organising Sri Maha Rudram over the last 15+ years, and inspired by the encouragement of many of you, we have embarked on exploring the feasibility of organising the Ati Rudra Yagna — for the very first time in Australia. By the grace of Parameswara, if this comes to fruition, Australia will become the 3rd country outside of India to host an Ati Rudram.
We are confident that, with your wholehearted support, we can organise this magnificent Maha Yagna as planned.
For performing this Yagna, we need 150+ Ritviks who can chant Sri Rudram and Chamakam fluently for 6 consecutive days. We are seeking Ritviks from all states of Australia and New Zealand.
Ritviks (Vedic priests/scholars) are fundamental to the success and sanctity of the ritual. They are responsible for the precise chanting of the Sri Rudram and performing the Rudra Homas (sacred fire rituals), generating intense spiritual vibrations for universal peace and well-being.
Note for non-Sydney Ritviks: Please arrange your own travel. All Ritviks must be present for all 6 days. The committee will endeavour to arrange accommodation around Helensburgh to suit the early-start and evening Poojas schedule.
